when a fourth suspect, a lookout
waiting in a truck outside the
store, ran into the store shouting,

chase. The truck was abandoned
and left to roll into a bush area as
the four suspects jumped into a
Mustang parked near the Uppe:
Leveis Highway.

Mustang west along the Upper
Levels Highway, The getaway car
abruptly turned east on the high-
way. But police lost sight of the
suspect vehicle at the 22nd Street
exit on the highway.

The Mustang was found aban-
doned in the 2100-block of Shaf-
ton Place.

According to West) Vancouver
Police Det. Les Fox, two suspects
and the driver of a car they were
riding in were urrested at about 4
am. at a roadblock set up at
Lions Gate Bridge. Other suspects
were uprested later.
