This scenic backpack trip in- cludes hiking in high alpine mead- ows, cross-country travel, rugged exploration, climbing several safe peaks, and glacier travel. The second trip, Aug. 17 to 23, is on the HBC Fur Brigade Trail in the Cascade wilderness area. The 40-mile journey extends from Coalmont to Hope over the histor- ic Hudson’s Bay Company Fur Brigade Trail. The trip is through high range country, alpine meadows and lakes and over a mountain pass. The week of August 5-8 will feature Sport and Water Olympics, Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon. During the program, children will enjoy sailing at the Ambleside Sailing Centre, zipping down the Coquitlam water slides and feasting on Jnternational Munch Day. Other events include tram- poline games, a Mini-Olympics and creating crafts. The final week of the Sport and Adventure Camps, August 11-14, will feature Super Soccer as its theme. Derek Posse of Vancouver Whitecaps will demonstrate winn- ing soccer techniques. Other activi- ties include a trip to the water slides, a tour of B.C. Place and more crafts and games.
