Those were the findings of a recent North Shore News survey of 354 North Shore households. Respondents were asked: “Have you heard about the plan to build a big nuclear plant south of the border? If $0, are you concerned about the plant being so close to Greater Vancouver?” Seventy-two per cent of those polled said they had heard about the proposed plant, as against 23 per cent who said they hadn't heard about it and five per cent who “didn’t know”. Concern about the plant being so close to Greater Vancouver was expressed by 57 per cent of the respon- dents.
