Mars comes to

WHEN Neil Armstrong
took the first steps on the
moon in 1969, he didn’t
want to lose track of time.

He was wearing an Omega watch,
specially designed for space travel.
That was the beginning of the Swiss
watch company’s longtime fascina-
tion with space travel

The Pathfinder mission, which set
out to answer the question of fife on
Mars, captured the public imagina-
tion like nothing singe that Apollo |
flight.

As a tribute to the NASA spa
program, Omega has created a repli-
ca of the Mars Explorer, which first
travelled on the planet on July 4,
1997,

This replica will be on display at
Lugaro Jewellers at Capilano Mall
from Nov. 6-19 and at Park Royal

South from Nov, 20-30.

evening gowns, ready-to-
wear fashions, shawls, bags
and hoods, as well as several
pieces of menswear. The
