WEST Vancouver Council has responded
to questions on the lease governing Park
Royal’s activities —- and the answers are
bad news for the anti-big box crowd.

Neither West Vancouver nor the Squamish Nauon have any
legal say over Larco’s current plans to expand Park Royal’s south
mall and install three big box retailers.

expanding, Williams said: “1 don’t think they do. The terms of the
lease are quite explicit as to the density of the use and the purpos-

“Hence, 1 don't see anv way in which the Squamish Band
Council can stop them. Whether they want to or not that is anoth
