year, the North Van RCMP
have launched a cost effective
intersection blitz using officers
on motorcycles, In this case,
extra time is spent confirming
that coinciding traffic lights
are synchronous, again for
costly legal reasons, after
which only one officer is
required.

When a ticket of any kind
is taken to court, that too
costs money, Ifa defendant
wins a dispute, money is spent
for nothing. I should mention
that photo radar is being hit
hard by this same fact. The
fine folks at S.E.N.S.E. (Safety
by Education Not Speed
Enforcement) have a great
web page containing dozens
of legal means of disputing a
photo radar ticket. Cheek it
