it’s a man’s world in the foyer

THE following is an update of
events at the Seymour Art
Gallery, located at 4360 Gallant
Ave. in Deep Cove.

AUGUST: Collections in the Foyer fea-
tures It's a Man's World, If you have a
collection that you'd like to share with
the community, call Carole Badgley at

ONGOING: Craft artists are needed to
display their wares at Cornucopia of
Creative Gifts, the gallery's fifth annual
Christmas gifts sale, to be held at the
gallery Nov. 27 through Dec. 1. Artists

and artisans are asked to call the gallery
at 924-1378 for information on jurying
dates and to obtain submission forms.

TO SUNDAY, SEPT. 15: /, Object is an
exhibition of fused and slumped glass
art by North Van's Brock Craig. Craig's
work was selected for the Award of
Merit by the B.C. Giass Arts Association
in a recent exhibition at Simon Fraser
University.

WEDICDAY, AUG. 28: Glass artist
Brock Craig presents a slide show and
talk, Craig is a charter lifetime member
of the B.C. Glass Arts Association
(BCGAA) and regularly attends the

Pilchuck Gluss School outside of
Seattle, The time is 7 p.m. Refreshments
will be served.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 10: The gallery has
arranged a visit to the American
Embassy in Vancouver to view glass
works by Washington artisan Bill
Sergent, The group will meet at the
SeaBus station at Lonsdale Quay at
10:30 a.m, Following the exhibition
there will be 4 lunch at Steamworks on
Water Street. Spaces are fimited to inter-
