North Shore designers unveil creations

STUDENTS OF Kwantlen College's
fashion design and technology pro-
gram will say YES to fashion this
week.

The program presents its Year-End Show
(YES) this Thursday and Friday with an
energy-packed runway-style presentation
that will feature the fashion designs of the
school’s 29 graduating students. ;

Khabazha of North Vancouver's career wear
for mature women ‘and Alina Lowe of West

in its third year, has enabled students to work.

A- Wear.

Boarding wear and wet suits, costumes
inspired by theatre and ballet, bridal attire
constructed from hemp fabric and children's
wear from recycled fabric ure some other
highlights.

Showtimes are 8:30 p.m. on Thursday,
April 25; 10:30 am., 1:30 p.m. and 8:30
p.m. on Friday April 26. As an adjunct to the
hour-long runway show, student works will
be on display, including projects such as the
design of a retail outlet that were completed
in cooperation with students of Kwantlen’s
interior and graphic design programs.

Tickets are $20 for the evening shows and
$10 for the Friday daytime showings. The
prices include GST. Donations to the
Vancouver Food Bank are welcome.

Kwantlen University College's Richmond
campus is located at 8771 Lansdowne Rd.
