Located at 1905 Ogden Avenue in Vancouver, the St. Roch has a long and illustrious history which is told with the help of Environ- ment Canada interpreters. The ship, frozen in time, is sur- rounded by the sounds of the howling arctic wind, her decks are home to a husky dog team and it’s even possible to get a whiff of cooking bacon from the mess. The St. Roch has earned a place in the museum by being the second vessel to venture through the Arc- tic, first to navigate the Northwest Passage from west to east, and the first to circumnavigate the North American continent.
