Hockey, ringette teams need players

NORTH SHORE minor hockey
and ringette teams hope to con-
tinue last vear’s share of champi-
onship wins, and are looking for
new players to add to the roster
this season.

In action last season, two locai

Pee Wee teams and an Atom team
won the Vancouver Conference
hockey championships; in ringette
play, local Deb and Belle squads
both won provincial titles.

Ten ringette teams last season
sported a total of 125 players aged

five to 26 years, while 26 hockey
teams fielded approximately 400
players.

Registration for the North Van-
couver Minor Hockey and North
West Vancouver Ringette associa-
tions is 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 20 at
recCentre Lonsdale.

For players or parents wanting
to buy or sell equipment this
season, an equipment exchange
will be held during registration.
