classroom.

I point out that Raison -

did, on occasions four years
ago, shave and gargle in the
classroom, that, con-

sequently, the allegations of -

shaving and gargling are not
the subject of lifigation.
It seems, then, not
unreasonable to pose the
question. Why, late in the.
Review Commission
proceedings, did the School
Board raise an issue which ©
had never previously been o
concern? ;

A couple of Sundays ago,
you kindly reported on the
fund-raising campaign for
the Children’s Floor at Lions
Gate Hospital. Obviously lots
of people read it and acted.
We got many cheques for
$4.00, the amount you
suggested, and we also got
them upeto $100.00 each.

We know they were from
your readers because they
were addressed to the
Children’s Wing and in all
our other contacts we had
used the term Children’s
Floor. For three days follow-
ing your column, ‘’Wing"’
outnumbered ‘‘Floor’’ by
four to one. | would guess we
got two to three thousand
dollars from your readers.

Thanks ever so much on
behalf of all the kids who
ever have to come to
hospital.
