that 2 proposed arts centre is
going to get the support it deserves. The list of
iong-awaited facilities actually on their way to being
built in North Vancouver District is longer: the
Parkgate Community Centre; the three-sheet ice rink
in Windridge; new playing fields on the old Premier
Street dump; a Lower Capilano community centre; and
an indoor tennis court in Norgate. Waiting in the wings
in North Vancouver City and District: dedicated com-
munity, museum, art gallery and theatre spaces in the
Lower Lonsdale/Versatile development and a new Iynn
Valley Library with, probabiy, an archive centre attached.
