By Layne Christensen Community Reporter ROSANNE Hopkins is kicking up her heels as one of 10 “long-legged lovelies” with The Fabulous Palm Spring Follies. At 54, the North Van resi- dent is the baby of the group. The oldest, a former yaudevil- lian, is 84. You sec, this musical revue has an age requirement: only over-50s need apply. Locally, Hopkins made a name for herself acting in Theatre Under the Stars pro- ductions and dancing with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. She sang and danced with Chita Rivera in the °68 production of Sweet Charity av the Q.E. Theatre and taught dance at the Delbrook rec centre for many cars. But a dearth of acting rules in Vancouver lead the show business veteran to the California desert, where she had heard of the stylish n:usic and dance revue. She passed the audition last May in Hollywood.
