THE REAL Estate Board of
Greater Vancouver reports
that the residential real estate
market in September showed
a decrease in the number of
sales, accompanied by signili-
cant inereases in the median
selling price in both detached
and condominium units.

There was a total of £951
units sold in September, down
from 2,326 in August. The
number of detached sales is
down in all areas except
Richmond which reports only
a slight) increase — for
September.

number of areas, with the
largest increases being in
West Vancouver, Vancouver
East and Port Moody. The
Sunshine Coast and Squamish
also reported a slight increase
in condominium sales.
