Hydro have joined forces to present the new series of ‘What's New In Home Building” seminars. Presented by a group of housing experts, including housing consul- tants, architects and designers, association trainers, B.C. Hydro repre- sentatives and industry leaders, the seminars are meant to inform the consumer on all aspects of home construction. Topics to be covered include design considerations, framing insulation techniques, windows and doors, heating and fireplaces, ventilation codes and systems, thermostats and controls, domestic water heaters, appli- ances and lighting, as well as an open forum for questions and answers. Also included is information about the B.C. Hydro-sponsored Quality Plus Home. Defined as a quality built home, incorporating top of the line materials and technology and constructed by specially trained builders, the Quality Plus Home features increased insulation, efficient heating and mechanical heat exchange and ventilation systems. The Quality Plus Home is further guaranteed to offer the optimum in cost efficiency, comfort and quality. This is the fifth in the series of seminars and occurs on Saturday, Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board, 15463- 104th Avenue, Surrey, B.C.
