The company was formed “to give young people with fresh talent a chance to gain experience in both theatre performing and production,” and Thursday’s opening was a promising beginning. A heavy sprinkling of North Shore talent is in volved in the production which is a melange of love songs, fun songs and the odd ballad. The set and costumes are the barest essentials but the five man company gave a sohd. enjoyable evening's entertainment. Greg Charles, Julia Denholm, Lori Dungey, Linda Quibell. and Mark Weatherley all deserve a note of praise and the group deserves the support that amateur theatre cries out for locally Dungey of West Van couver provided a highlight of the evening in her ren- dition of Crossword Puzzle and when Weatherley (also of West Van) sang 1-Hear Bells there was a distinct echo of Sinawa. Director Tracey of West Vancouver and musical director Jennifer Porter of Deep Cove, who lead a small but delightful combo, also deserve note.
