While drug testing is not as prevalent in Canada as it is in the United States, it is moving into our society, American parent companies are starting to press for the testing here and legislation may be passed that would make testing man- datory in the federally controlled transportation sector. Last month the Canadian Civil Liberties Association argued that a major Canadian bank's drug testing of employees was an unfair violation of privacy.
