Against the Lions on November 10, he brought Calgary back from a 16-point half-time deficit, throwing three third-quarter touchdown passes in. leading the Stamps to a 43-4i vic- " tory. He was good on 23 of 33 passes for 420 yards and five touchdowns. In the western final versus Edmonton, Calgary was trailing 33-18 at the start of the fourth quarter when the Barrett- fead Stampeders scored 20 four- th-quarter points to edge Edmon- ton 38-36. In that game, Barrett threw for 373 yards and two touchdowns. For both these performances he earned the CFL Player of the Week honors. In the Grey Cup, he completed 34 of 56 passes (both Grey Cup records) for 377 yards and one touchdown while also rushing for ancther score in a losing cause. The eight-year veteran of the CFL will oe playing under coach Bob O’Billovich for the second time in his career. Gerald Roper Offensive Guard Roper, the sclf-appointed team spokesman, was raised in North Vancouver and is back home after recently rejoining the Lions squad.
