couver provincial courts recently to
face various charges laid against
them.

Before Judge K.J. Libby in Norih
Vancouver provincial court on
May 2:

Jeff Frederick Katcher received
a conditional discharge and was
put on probation for one year after
the 29-year-old North Vancouver
man pleaded suilty to assaulting a
man on Oct. 29, 1989 in North
Vancouver District.

Sharon Betsy Fontaine was
sentenced to one day in jail after
the 37-year-old North Vancouver
woman pleaded guilty to failing to
report to her probation officer on
July 31, 1989 in accordance with a
probation order.

Christopher Murphy was fined
$100 after the 21-year-old North
Vancouver man pleaded guilty to
possession of cocaine in connec-
tion with a Feb. | drug seizure.

Geordie M. Fennell was fined
$100 after the 19-year-old North
Vancouver inan pleaded guilty to
theft of cigarettes in connection
with a Dec. 12, 1989 incident at

Tyrone Leigh Spears received a
suspended sentence and was put on
probation for one year after the
25-year-old Maple Ridge man
pleaded guilty to mischief under
$1,000 in connection with a Nov.
30, 1989 incident on East) 3rd
Street where Spears kicked the
door frame and a plant pot.

As a condition of probation,
Spears was also ordered to pay
$123.31 in restitution.

North Vancouver provincial court
on May 2:

Glen Peter Wanek was fined

$200 after the 29-year-old North

Vancouver man pleaded guilty to
mischief under $1,000 in connec-
tion with an Oct. 24, 1989 incident
where Wanek kicked a window of
Aiko International in 1400-block
Lonsdule.

Before Judge L.W. Smith in North
Vancouver provincial court on
April 30:

Karl Ewald Boese received a
suspended sentence and was pul on
probation for one year after the
49-year-old West Vancouver man
pleaded guilty to theft of meat and
poultry products from Save-On
Foods on Jan. 18.
