Why was the whale hunt so impor- tant? Where was the whalers’ shrine on Vancouver Island? Get the answers to these and other questions at an illustrated talk by Kevin Neary, an an- thropologist with the Royal British Columbia Museum. Neary will visit the North Van- couver Outdoor School (Con- ference Centre) in Brackendale on Wednesday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. and Sherwood Park School, 4085 Dollar Rd., in Deep Cove on Thursday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. Admission to the program is free.
