Walking provides a safe car-
diovascular workout for many of
those who feel uncomfortable jog-
ging or in an aerobics class. Impact
on the back and lower leg is also
reduced, making walking perfect
for those who are just beginning
an exercise program or recovering

In Walking Works on Saturday,
Jan. 28, instructor Robyn Hood
will provide an overview of
powerwalking, striding and fitness
walking techniques. Enthusiasts
