But the Novice squad rebounded somewhat when they scored three goals against the North West Cougars in a 10-3 loss. Linda Reynard got her first goal and Adrienne Moiinsky scored the other two. Another excellent game on Nov. and Alana’ team 23, had PoCo Tween B's scoring a 6-4 victory over the NSWC. Jennifer Farrel kept PoCo on their toes with some remarkable defence, while Jennifer Tyldesly worked hard on offence. Kerri Spruston continues to show exceptional ability in goal. NSWC Junior Belle ‘‘A’’ dominated in a 7-2 victory over Langley, Nov. 27, Christine Camphell scored two goals for NSWC in the game. There were some frantic mo- ments for the NSWC Belle A’s Nov. 26, when Vivisn Behrenz and goaltender Colinda McLean show- ed up just minutes prior to zame time. In spite of the near panic, NSWC defeated PoCo Debs 6-2. Coach Fred Boyd said his red sticks, Kendra Bryson, Jutie Goodbrand and Rebecca Leadbet- ter played excellent games, Fourth red stick, Kelly Dairon, was absent. Stott chops to gold IN A RECENT invitational karate competition at Burnaby’s Colum- bia College, West Vancouver’s Daniel Stott won the gold medal in his age category. The nine year old’s instructer, Dietre Karpf has been teaching karate to children, teens and adults ‘ at the West Vancouver Recreation Centre (WVRC) since 1983, and notes that the competiticn was the largest of its kind ever hosted. Other winning WVRC_ com- petitors included Chris Cameron, 16, and James Cihesko, 21, who both won silver medals.
