Now that Brian Mulroney has
elevated himself to king, leaving
Don Mazankowski to be prime
minister, it might be well to revise
the Sermon on the Mount, Mat-
thew 5, to reflect this.

And seeing the result of the polls,
he went up into Manicougan: and
when he was set his Cabinet came
unto him.

And he opened his mouth,and
taught them, saying:

Blessed are they that mourn: for
they have seen the percentages.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall
inherit my ‘reconcilation’ pro-
gram,

Blessed are they which do hunger
and thirst after righteousness: for
they shall be given new pledges to
fulfill.

Blessed are the merciful:
shall show us mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for
they shall believe that the video of
me on my last trip abroad, in
stereo and color, is non-political.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for
they shall be reviled and treated as
children.

Blessed are they which are
persecuted for righteousness’ sake:
for they shall be Speaker in the
House of Commons which is my
kingdom.

Blessed are ye, my Cabinet; when
men shall revile you, and persecute
you, and shall say all manner of
evil against you, for my sake I say:

Resign, and be exceeding glad: for

Dear Editor:

With reference to C. Johnson’s
letter, War Games Protest Unin-
formed, it is disgusting to use the
word ‘‘game’’ in connection with
such a preposterous activity; a
more appropriate title fer this sick
activity would be ‘‘mock human
slaughter.”’

Congratulations to Mayor
Huinphreys for his stand on this
matter.
