Then, if you’re really efficient you can do vegetable casseroles and a salad all before noon and in- stead of slaving away while everyone else sips a drink you can be right in there with them. Here's a vegetable casserole that teams well with ham: Spinach-Mushroom Bake 1ib. fresh spinach 3 tablespoons flour 3 tablespoons butter 1cup milk 4 cup grated cheddar Va cup grated parmesan salt, pepper and dash nutmeg Y pound mushrooms, sliced 1 tablespoon butter Y, cup fine, dry breadcrumbs Ys cup bufter Parboil spinach leaves (sans stems) just until wilted. Chop fine or buzz lightly in your food pro- cessor, Prepare cheese sauce by melting butter, adding flour and whisking in milk over medium heat. When thickened, whisk in cheese and seasonings, Reserve 44 cup sauce and combine the rest with the spinach, Saute mushrooms lightly. Layer spinach and mushrooms alternate- ly in two or three layers. Drizzle remaining cheese sauce over top. Prepare buttered crumbs with the remaining “4 cup butter and top off the vegetables. Bake at 350° until bubbly — about 25 min. Fresh green beans are nice, just steamed and buttered but if you want to make them ahead, cook just until crisp-tender. Blanch them in cold water to keep them bright green. Just before serving, re-heat them in this: Almond Butter % cup butter garlic cloves (how many do you like?) ¥Y cup slivered almonds Melt the butter in a wide frypan with the garlic, If you skewer the Gestures installed at Presentation House PRESENTATION House Gallery will be featuring a unique exhibit in April. _ Gestures of the Body/Gestures of the Site is a site-specific wall in-. stallation by New York-based, Canadian artist Shelagh Keeley. The Camera Obscura Room at ‘the gallery will exhibit documenta- tion of past installations by Shelagh Keeley. Her recent film work, transferred onto video, will also be available for viewing. The opening reception will be held on April 4, 7:30 to 10 p.m. On Tues., April 8 at 7:30 p.m. there will be an artist's talk by Keeley. This is open to the public and free of charge.
