The rally invites a show of public sup- port for the arts, and will provide a forum for protest - against recent federal govern- ment cutbacks of funds .to arts organizations. The rally is sponsored by the B.C. Coalition for the Arts, a diverse group, rang- ing from artists and arts organizations to consumers, formed in response to the - cutbacks. Speakers at the rally will include individual artists, among them Jack Shadbolt and John Gray, as well as representatives of arts organizations touched in many different ways by re- cent cuts in federal funds.
