FOLKFEST

A COLLAGE of typical sights from this year’s Vancouver Folk Music Festival held over the
weekend at Jericho Park shows John Hammond (top left) at a Sunday afternoon workshop,
a quickly devised ‘sun hat’ to shield one music lover’s head from the scorching sunrays (top
righ), Ellen Mecllwaine (bottom Icft) who really got the crowds going with her wild Blues
Rock, especially during her Sunday cvening performance, as did a less known performer,

blues artist Frank Frost (bottom right). About 20,000 spectators turned out for the annual
festival.
