Smith said LGH has opened all
beds that were previously closed

during the strike.

“The situation is very good. We
have all of our original capacity
of beds open,’’ said Smith.
“We're not totally full, but we’re
trying to get all of our 80 cancell-
ed surgeries back.”’

Smith added that the strike has
cost the hospital between £1 mil-
lion and $1.2 million although it
will be at least one month before
