Fiexible Spark Plug Starter

An easy way to start difficult-
to-reach spark plugs is to place a
short length of three-eighth inch
tubber gas line hose over the end
of the plug. If you need added
stiffness, insert a bolt in the end of
the hose.

Give Hoses the Slip

Installing and removing radiator
or heater hoses can be difficult; it’s
a tight fit and the hoses tend to
bond to water inlets and outlets
due to heat, pressure and time.
The hoses will slip on and off easi-
ly if you spray the inside of the
hose ends with silicone prior to in-
stallation.

Lucky Lugs

A common problem for cars
with custom wheels is that most of
them retain the stock spare tire and
wheel. The custom wheels usually
use special lug nuts, such as deep-
shank units, that will work only
with the custom wheels.

To be sure you always have the
stock lug nuts for the spare tire,
put the lugs on a piece of insulated
electrical wire and attach it to one
of the holes in the spare wheel.
Also, check that you have the cor-
rect lug wrench in the trunk.
