That year of 1977 saw
Mahood and his new vehicle
capture fifth place in the
International Conference of
Sports Car Clubs’ Cham-
pionship. And at the bi-
annual ICSCC Formula Vee
course in Victoria, Mahood
pulled in with first place in
his class.

Another win for Mahood
that year was the top student
award he captured for his
class at the Jim Russell
International Racing Drivers
School at St. Jovite, Quebec.

In 1978, Mahood placed
second in the 30-car ICSCC
series carning himself a spot
in the Canadian Road Race
of Champions, the year-end
competition that decides the
National
Champion in all road racing
classes.

In what is described as a
spectacular display of
driving Mahood carned
himself a third place finish.

Mahood, having recently
been signed by Pentax
Cameras of Canada and
CKVU-13 Sports Page, is
heading to this year’s
Canadian Auto Sport Club
Series and the ICSCC in a
Lola T-440 Formula Ford.

And he is looking for
another successful racing
season.
