Liquor store manager Herb Beaulieu said customers started going to other liquor stores during construction and business dropped at least 20%. Bur the first day construction fin- ished was like turning on a tap, he said. Thar day, five people were milling outside the liquor store before the store opened. “The customer count has been up every day since,” Beaulieu said. He added, however, that the store still has fewer customers than in the days before the Westview project began. The story is a bir different at the Good Nature Health Food Store. Assistant manager Kelly Hamilton said business has been alright throughout construction. But she added the increases in business have not been as great as she expected over the past few months. “Tt dida’t affect us too much although we definitely had our slaw days,” she said. “We are probably one of the few that won’t complain too much.” 1 my busi- youre hot! youre hot!
