Seaspan tatergational fd. has
just finished mverting a huge
barge that used to transport of f-
shore oil rigs around the world to
acew lumber and bulk carrier.

span 27! will now join the
company's fleet oof tugs and
barges.

The vessel is capable of carrying
seven million EBA (act measure)
of packaged lumber.

height of 24 feet.

The barge is 400 feet long and
100 feet wide.

Seaspan 271 also has buik cargo
capability of £6,500 short tons for
transportation of bulk solar salt,
limestone, sand and gravel
cargoes.

The hull tanks are suited for
transporting liquids such as mag-
nesium chloride.

Seaspan 271 will join a
barge. Seaspan 270, in
California lumber service.
