FOREST HILLS little league baseball presented the Robert Biddlecombe Memorial Award on Sunday, June I1 at the opening playoff game in Eldon Park. A winner and runner-up was chosen from each of the major _ and minor leagues. The award is presented annually in memory of Robbie Biddlecombe who played in the Forest Hills little league until 1979. Biddlecombe is remembered for his courage, sportsmanship and his love for the game. Despite his fatal illness, he continually strived to do his best and was an example to the league. His father Alex Biddlecombe was on hand for the presentations. The winners were: major league: winner, David Bauman — Grouse Mountain Resorts; runner-up, Kasey Whitman — Stongs.
