Firefighters raise plenty NORTH VANCOUVER District firefighters wrapped up a big year for fund raising with the Dec. 31 presentation of a $35,051.81 che- que raised by members of the District of North Vancouver Firefighters Socicty for the Van- couver General Hospital Burn Unit. A separate cheque for $9,450 was presented to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada. Both monies.are the result of the past year’s fund-raising cfforts. The $9,450 was raised during the firefighters annual Muscular Dystrophy fall boot collection weekend. The money for the burn unit was raised through various ac- tivities held in the community throughout the year. The firefighters also donated $256 to the Vancouver Public Aquarium to help replenish fish tanks ravaged by a chemical spill early {987, Aw A htienal $200 was raised from the annual Santa’s Toy YOU CAN PLEASE EVERYONE ALL THE TIME!
