gymnasts brought home personal
bests from the Port Alberni Invita-°
tional Competition held over the
Jan.'24 weekend.

Competing against 11 teams
from around the province, the
Whip-Its 10-and-under girls team,
Niki Ow, Marlies Ernst, Amanda
Johnsen and Jennifer Furst won a
third-place team finish in the com-
petition.

In the over-10 age group Sonja
Perreten won a sixth place finish
on the balance beam and Saman-
tha O'Keefe fi nished i in sixth place
on floor.

Personal Awards:

Nicole Ow: second on bars, third
on floor, fourth on beam.
Amanda Johnsen: first on vault,
second on beam, sixth on floor.
Marlies Ernst: fourth on beam,
sixth on bars.
