be one of the many events
attracting attention during
the B.C. Festival of the Arts
in Kamloops June 2 to June
5.

history, the B.C. Festival of
the Arts will bring young
artists from every corner of
British Columbia together in

Free course on law

A FREE course on women
and the law will be offered
Thursday, February 25, at
the Maplewood Community
School.

The course gives women a
chance to find out just what
all that legal jargon relating
to women and the law is all
about. Men should find the
course interesting too, as

they discover the lIegal
implications of their role as
‘head of the family.’

The instructor will explain
in lay terms what is involved

Club, the fashion show will
highlight weavings, surface

‘works (such as batik, silk-

screen and painted fabrics),
creative knitted, crochetted
and leather garments.

An expected 100 works
will be selected, to be

in marriage and divorce
laws, property, child
custody, maintenance,
income tax, employment,
credit and more.

required and may be done by
phoning 987-8141.

The course takes place
from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the
school, at 1007 West Keith
Road, North Vancouver. It
is sponsored by the People’s
Law School and North Shore
Night Schools.
