Two RCMP members and
a third man were charged
with a total of four counts
relating to fraud under the
lottery section of the
Criminai Code, Thursday, as
the result of an investigation
by the North Vancouver
RCMP detachment.

Constables Bryan G
Mason, 24, and Ernest S.
Biena, 26, both members of
RCMP detachment in

Burnaby, B.C., were each
charged with one count oi
conspiracy to commut fraud.
Michael J. McGrath, 29, was
charged with two counts of
procuring and distributing
fraudulent lottery tickets.
RCMP Supt. Jack
Maidens said the trio.
arrested Wednesday after an
investigation by the North
Vancouver detachment,
were alleged to have par-

ucipated tn a lottery ucket
sale for a fraudulent Howard
University Hospital Fund.

The two policemen ap-
peared in North Vancouver
provincial court Thursday
and were ordered 10

and was also released from
custody.
