WORKSHOP

We have been successful in arranging for Byron Johnstad to
conduct an intensive, informally-structured workshop for
advanced pottery students. Although the main areas of study
will be throwing, glazing and kiln-building, Mr. Johastad has
agreed to deal with other areas of interest, on cither a group or
individual basis. He has also agreed to work alongside the
students so that they ma may observe his procedures and ap-
proaches at close hand. addition to the scheduled class
times, it is anticipated that the studios will be open to par-
ticipants for an additional two days a weck so that they ma
develop their interests and skills in a continuous fashion. This
is a rare opportunity for the advanced pottery student to profit
from a close association with an esteemed full-time studio

The Ministry of Human Resources requires a
couple to operate a group home on a 24-hour flive-
in basis in Vancouver for youths ages 15-18
years, who have behavioral and/or emotional
problems.

This position would provide a monthly fee for
service of $2222 for the couple. A home is
provided and a budget to cover reliet, tran-
sportation, recreation, etc.

Couple applying must combine caring and
sensitivity with the knowledge of how to be firm,
set limits and cope with overt testing. The couple
must be able to function as part of a team carrying

out a therapeutic treatment plan and provide
follow through:
