North Vancouver Dear Editor: Open letter to search and rescue volunteers: TL would like to express my appreciation for the efforts of your search and rescue teams in searching for my son Wylie Brillon and his two friends Steve Carr and Mike Nikel on the Lions, Aug. 5 and 6, 1996, It is reassuring to know that such programs exist. The dedication and skill of all othe volunteers was notable. The — volunteers worked very hard through- out the night and were ready to go again in daylight. The search coordinators kept us very well informed and it was very clear that they had the situation completely under control which helped to make a very scary night a lit- tle more bearable.
