best in comtemporary gem-cutting

AGTA competition, the’ exhibit
will feature pieces from the Susan
Clark Gallery of Gem Art, which
is sponsoring the event.

‘These pieces include a citrine
carving of a cat; a 20-carat,
brilliant-cut red spinel, of the type
used in the crown jewels; and the
Ponderosa Queen, a large red

. sunstone feldspar from Oregon.

Programming will also include
guest lecturers and an identifica-
tion clinic.

Gemologists and imineralogists
will be on hand on - Sunday,
March 7, from noon to 4 p.m. to
identify specimens brought in by
visitors. There is no charge for
this service, but identification on-
ly, not appraisal, will be offered.
