Entry is free to this unique event held Saturday, July 15. Ten groups and individual performers will provide entertaininent from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ‘ “We've got a pretty good lineup and a real good cross-sec- tion of Lower Mainland church groups,”’ said organizer Bill Greenway from the North Van- couver Gospel Music Association. Each set will last 45 minutes with a 15-minute break between sets. Greenway said the music raily will be a good alternative to the Sea Festival for people on the North Shore who don’t want to struggie with downtown traffic. ‘There's entertainment for the kids all day too,” said Greenway. “We don’t want kids puiling on their parents’ shirt tails saying ‘I want to go home!’”’ Face painting, clowns, water toys, games and sporting events will be on hand to occupy the children. Greenway said he has enough burgers, hot dogs and soft drinks to feed between four and 8,000 peopie at the concession stands, courtesy of generous sponsors. Ail proceeds will go to the Van- couver Food Bank. People are en- couraged to bring a donation of non-p2rishable focd to the festival.
