I would like to use the North
Shore News to thank the
Blackcomb ski patrol, the staff of
the Whistler clinic and the B.C.
Ambulance team that transported
me to Lions Gate Hospital during
my accident of May 3.

All of these people not only
showed a great deal of considera-
tion and kindness, brit also a high
degree of professionalism while
rendering their services. Again |

— and they’re long overdue. AND
it's about time more was heard
from those of us on the other side.

. The ELECTED government is ac-

ting on OUR behalf.

Sorry guys, you have been given
your college and your right to
strike. Those many of us on the
other hand will not weep that your
other goodies are being withdrawn

until you learn how to behave. WE
want to support that dwindling
number of teachers who wish to
concentrate on their jobs and their
students — those who wish to im-
prove the steadily declining stan-
dard of education in British Col-
umbia.

Premier Vander Zalm and Mr.
Brummet may not be perfect in
their execution but I, for one, ap-
olaud their efforts.
