The Girl Guides, Lion Area Council, will also be joining them at this new location. The North Shore Informa- tion and Volunteer Centre provides a number of services to the community. It recruits volunteers for organizations across the North Shore, and provides training, resources and sup- port in the development of volunteer programs, Scholarship workshop caters to gifted kids ARTS UMBRELLA offers a full scholarship multimedia workshop for artistically gifted young people. The participants wil] have the opportunity to work in a variety of media, in which technique and creativity will be stressed. There is no fee for these workshops. Participation will be juried, based on a portfolio of three works submitted by the applicants. Work can be two or three dimensional.
