eventually seep in,

Zepel by Dupont and Super
Microft are also water-resistent fin-
ishes applied to nylon.

Entrant is a moisture-permeable
(breathable) waterproof fabric.
Gore-tex has an underlayer bonded
to nylon which has microscopic
holes too small to let water drops
in, but large enough to let perspira-
tion droplets escape, therefore mak-
ing the fabric waterproof and
breathable,

Ultrex is another version of this
by a different label.
