Composed of public and private sector representatives, the task force will look at all modes of transportation including highways, air, marine, rail and transit. One of its key responsibilities is to draft a list of immediate and future priorities. Eger The task force will also consider transportation demands resulting from growth and change in the region's population as well as the impact from centres where signifi- cant employment growth is antici- Pated. How transportation improve- ments themselves can influence growth and development will also be studied, as will funding options. A process by which all levels of government can work together to carry out priority improvements and determine future priorities is also required. The completed report is expected to be submitted to the GVRD board of directors for review in July.
