Dear Editor:

In my opinion, it would appear
that in his clumsy and obvious at-
tempts to libel the North Shore
Women’s Centre, Mr. Doug Col-
lins is becoming obsessed by my
wife, Jancis Andrews, who is a
member of that group.

Although he does not know her,
he nevertheless feels qualified to
claim publicly that she possesses
certain néPative characteristics that
1 myself have never noticed,
although I’ve been married to her
for over 30 years.

Mr. Collins describes my wife as
“teenager, anti-men, anti-family,
whale-like, trash ...’”

Are we talking about the same
woman? | had thought I was mar-
ried to a woman who is beautiful
both inwardly and outwardly: a
highly intelligent, loving coura-
geous soul who is not afraid to
challenge the injustices in our
society. However, husbands have
made mistakes in the past.

I therefore, via your letters-to-
the-editor page, request a meeting
with Mr. Collins, in his office,
where we can discuss my wife’s
above-mentioned faults in detail,
face to face, and he can explain to
me how and why he knows more
about my wife than I do.
