Nion-profit organizations
get tips on legal problems

Martin Gifford, a corporate lawyer who has
specialized in law regarding societies, will speak on the
legal issues. Gerry Floyd, an insurance specialist, will
discuss the myths and realities of liability. insurance
and explain some of the technical wording in in-
surance policies, .

This is one of a series of workshops planned to
assist volunteers who serve in local community
organizations. The workshop fee is $10. For further

MEMBERS OF boards and councils of non-profit
organizations assume risks and legal responsibilities
when they agree to serve. Also they face a number of
questions regarding what types of insurance are nec-
essary and available.

. To address these concerns, the North Shore Infor-
mation and Volunteer Centre has organized an even-
ing workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. at
Highlands Community School, 3150 Colwood Drive,
