I< present its: the healer of mind The flowing, dance-like movements of Watsu have a tendency to not only heal peo- ple physically, but emotionally as well. “One of the most unique things is that it has no limit to what it does,” said Sinelaire, who wained with Dull. “It reaches people physically, but it also reaches to them psy logically, emotianally and spir- itually. It hits them on all lev- els.” “There's a lor of emotional issues that come up for people during Watsu. I'm holding a person up in water so it engen- ders a connection with them right away and obviously that needs a lot of trust and that brings about a lot of healing for a fot of people. We hold a lot of emotional issues in our bodies.” Sometimes the Watsu ses- sions will necessitate a need for further, more in-depth dry-land counselling, | said Sinclaire, who, to that end, is also a certified ontological coach. Watsu sessions last 50 min- utes to an hour in length and cost S60. The growing popularity of the new form of therapy has proven an instant hit among the celebrity set in, Caiifornia. First offered in 1994, Level 1 is designed for novice investors and will take them through the basics of investing, including stocks; bonds; and mutual funds. Sinclaire currently works with her growing base of Watsu clients at the YMCA in downtown Vancouver, but is planning a move to a West Vancouver home —and an indoor pool of her own — later this fall.
