OVER $200,000 worth
£ classic cars were auc-
tioned off last Sunday
at the 10th annual
Autoclassic car auction.

Over 60 authentic clegant
works of art and design,
many of which dated back to
the 1950s, were on display at
Centennial Theatre in North
Vancouver.

A 1960 Austin Healy BT7
took the winning bid at
$33,920. The auction featured
vintage cars from ai} around
the province including a beau-
tifully restored 1965 Ford
Mustang Fastback, 1966
Dodge Charger and a
Piymouth Cuda and Rolls
Royce Silver Shadow from
1970.

A 1950s-cra Mercedes-

Benz 300 SL roadster, a con-_

vertible version of Pierre
Trudeau’s famous silver gull-
wing Mercedes, sold several
years ago for ovcr $200,000.
A prized 1953 Jaguar
XK120 roadster valued at
$70,000 was expected to show
up for the auction but didn’t
arrive in time according to Lisa
