COPPER Beach Estates
Ltd. (CBE), which owns
an abandoned copper
mine near Britannia
Beach, is suing three for-
mer business associates.

CBE, of which West
Vancouver resident = Tim
Drummand is the sole director,
launched a lawsuit on June 24 in
B.C, Supreme Court claiming,
that the former sharcholders in
another of his companies:

& “prompted a newspaper arti-
cle containing false and defama-
tory statements” relating tu
CBE “and its present and sole
director,”

& breached a settlement agree-
ment with CBE relating to inter-
fering with the economic and
business interests of CBE.

The name of the newspaper
or when the ardicle ar issue was
published was not described in a
statement of claim fited by
Drummond's lawyer Allen Cale.

Drummond declined to
comment for a story which was
published on June 20 in the
News regarding Copper Beach

Gas station robbed

A man armed with a
gun robbed the Petro-
Canada station on
Mountain Highway at
Main Street on
Thursday.

The robber gave a was sta-
tian employee a note saving

North Vancouver ROMP.

Police say the robber gat
away with $250 during the 5
am. incident.

The emplovee was not
hurt.

The suspect is described as
being Caucasian, age 25,
weighing 59 kg (130 Ibs.),
