Stolen: Caulfeild ready for Oktoberfest fun CHILDREN’S activi- ties and traditional European fun are scheduled for Caulfeild Village mall’s Oktoberfest on Sunday. The free festival takes place from noon to 5 p.m. Over the past five years, Caulfeild Village has learned just what type of activities families enjoy most, said Oktoberfest —_ coordinator Myrna McLennan. “We're combining five years of favorites into five ours of fun.” Entertainer Joey Hanlon will be featured on the main stage. Future golf pros can enjoy the challenge of 18 holes of mini-golf. However, both of these activitics are likely to be upstaged by an enormous inflatable caterpillar known as the Crawl Zone. The event will also feature plenty of balloons, face painting and childrens’ crafts. A European flavour has always been a part of Caulfeild Oktoberfest. The Bavarians, a musical group, will set the North Shore hills alive with rollick- ing songs and Alpen dances. A Bavarian barbecue and a lively beer garden ensures that festival-gocrs can enjoy some Old World traditions.
